Uzbekistan has completed the restructuring of the major airlines of the country. As reported the press service of the national carrier NAC “Uzbekistan Airways”, the company was established JSC Uzbekistan Airways and the operator of the airports — JSC Uzbekistan Airports.
Now the organization of flights and operation of aircraft fleet will be engaged in JSC Uzbekistan Airways. Joint-stock company was established on the basis of the Directorate of the NAC, as well as on the basis of state unitary enterprises “the Flight”, “Main Agency of air communications” and “Complex logistics “Uzavialeasing”.
The state unitary enterprise (GUP) included in the NAC was converted into a limited liability company. They include 11 international airports in the country (Andijan, Bukhara, Karshi, Navoi, Nukus, Namangan, Samarkand, Tashkent, Termez, Urgench and Fergana), the state share in their authorized capital were transferred to JSC Uzbekistan Airports.
For example, state unitary enterprise “international airport Bukhara” was “international airport Bukhara”.
In the limited liability company have also been converted provider for the maintenance and repair of aircraft of Uzbekistan Airways Technics (UAT; previously, a subdivision of the NAC), it continued its activities under the Foundation of JSC Uzbekistan Airways. In a press-service of the company told earlier ATO.ru that in the framework of the restructuring, the Maintenance provider needs to move fully to self-sufficiency, i.e. to manage their finances independently from the parent company. (By the way, November 12, UAT has celebrated the 95th anniversary of its founding.)
Restructuring has affected the helicopter segment of the industry. On the basis of state “, the Airline for special aerial works”, controlled by the NAC, was formed in Uzbekistan, OOO Helicopters. A national provider of air navigation services “Uzaeronavigation” transferred to the Ministry of transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The new developments in civil aviation of Uzbekistan held in accordance with the decree of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, “On measures for cardinal improvement of the civil aviation of the Republic of Uzbekistan” dated November 27, 2018
The need for separation is substantiated outdated control system that combines regulation and commercial activity that affects the financial condition of the national carrier. Another reason is the monopolization of civilian transport, including ground infrastructure. This led to a backlog of Uzbekistan on the world aviation market and the unprofitability of a number of air Harbor of the country.
