The passenger traffic of the airline “Uzbekistan Airways” has increased by 13.8%

Airline “Uzbekistan Airways” at the end of 2012 carried 2.64 million passengers. This is stated in the report of the National information Agency of Uzbekistan. This is 13.8% more than in 2011, when it reached 2.32 million pass. During the year the airline fulfilled 24,84 thousand flights and delivered 40 tons of cargo.

Last year the air fleet of the airline with two Boeing 767-300ER. According to representatives of “Uzbekiston Havo Yullari”, the aircraft of this type will play a significant role in the further development of the airline. Was also implemented a program to replace older aircraft of Soviet production, from service were withdrawn turboprop An-24, carrying out domestic flights. They were replaced by the Ilyushin Il-114-100 and Airbus A320-200. In 2013, the NAC “Uzbekistan Airways” expects delivery of two more Boeing 767-300ER, also planned the purchase of two Boeing 787. Deliveries of the new aircraft is planned to be implemented until 2016
