The national airline of Uzbekistan Uzbekistan Airways has received approval from the European Agency for air safety (EASA) on flight operations in the EU. As said the carrier, this step is related to the new EU regulation on the procedure of authorization and monitoring the safety of aircraft operators from third countries (Third Country Operators, TCO) that fly to European airports. These rules entered into force on may 26, 2014 to obtain permission of EASA, Uzbekistan Airways has provided the regulator with all the necessary data from the underlying operating activities of the airline to the extent of the implementation of the safety management (SMS).
