Uzbekistan Airways will close the representative office in Ukraine

The national airline of Uzbekistan Uzbekistan Airways (NAC”Uzbekistan Airways”) has started the procedure of closing a representative office in Kiev. This information was confirmed by the Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Ukraine Alisher Abdualiev, betrays the Ukrainian portal “Delia”. According to him, such decision is accepted in connection with the termination of flights between the countries, what was the result of a unilateral ban on flights from the Ukrainian side.

Abdualiev said that Uzbekistan Airways in may, is awaiting permissions to perform flights to Kiev “with one frequency per week from each side on an equal and mutually beneficial terms.” Further, the carrier planned to increase frequency on the growth of sustainable demand. Although the Ukrainian aviation authorities had not taken measures to restore air links between the countries of Abdualiev said that to stop the process of closing the office in Kiev is still not too late.
