In Uzbekistan the fifth freedom of the air is introduced from October 1 at the international airports in the administrative centers of Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya oblasts (viloyats) — Karshi and Termez, respectively, as well as in Nukus — the only airport in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Furthermore, the use of the fifth freedom of the air allowed for the carriage of foreign citizens in Bukhara, the administrative center of Bukhara region.
